Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in San Diego with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in California may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 10 am–5 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (619) 317-1900. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is tunavillemarketandgrocery.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 200 reviews, which is a strong result for a seafood market in San Diego and suggests consistent service.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This is one of the best places in San Diego to get fresh and smoked fish, seafood, salads and a whole lot more. They try hard to support local fishermen. When you visit, make sure to say Hi to Sunny and Tommy, The Fishmonger. Ask him for his autograph. He loves that!!!

This hidden gem is well worth the drive, no matter where you're coming from. The deli features a changing array of tasty grab n go items. Yesterday, we tried the ahi poke, shrimp ceviche and rockfish with mango and jalapeΓ±o. They also have the freshest fish imaginable available for purchase. There's a small market inside where you can buy homemade croutons toasts, crackers, salsa and spreads. Don't pass up the tasty croutons toasts! We sat outside the shop where there are a few chairs and a small table and ate right there with a view of the marina. The shop is clean and smells fresh.

Awesome place to grab fish for any meal. Tommy, the owner, is a great guy and goes the extra mile to make sure you're taken care of. Also the guys and gals he employs are usually fishers themselves so a fun place to talk all things fish... Prices are fair for the quality and selection..If you're in Point Loma and need some quality seafood, stop by Tommy's Tunaville!

My sister and I stumbled upon this market and were completely blown away. We ended up trying all the tuna salads and ceviches, THANK YOU FOR THE HUGE SAMPLES LOL! We ended up leaving with both cakes and the three salads/ceviches. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ The shop is insanely CLEAN and has amazing lighting, along with being decorated cutely. Parking was also easy, just on the other side of the building. Lastly, the very sweet manager lady ended up taking care of us! I highly recommend coming here for your seafood fix😏😏😏😏😏 My sister loved it so much she went without me and bought the last of the cakes. Other than that, the staff here are truly wonderful and make the whole experience. Will be coming back!!!!!
